Wayeb’
Also known as Tz’apin q’iij, the end or closure of the cycle, they are 5 sacred days of reflection, connection, healing, gratitude, and strengthening of forces. They are the days of concentration on the sacred fire. It is the time without a year carrier, without government, without guidance, or care of the year carrier or Mam through which various purely spiritual activities are carried out in preparation to receive the new year.
B’ELEJE’ B’ATZ’
This is an extremely special day within the Maya calendar. It is a celebration dedicated to women and under the protection of that energy they take the first step in their spiritual mission, others after the necessary preparation time receive their mission and are then ready to walk, but it is also the day of gratitude and reconfirmation for those who have already started their work and mission.
Before this energy of the cosmic weaving and being able to understand more the call of the sacred path and the challenges of life, our midwives, comadronas grandmothers play a predominant role since they are the ones who have the responsibility of identifying the mission of the new being when is born.
WAJXAQI B’ATZ’
It is considered the beginning and end of the creation of the universe from the Maya cosmovision, before this energy, a new lunar cycle begins, also known as the Maya new year, the beginning and culmination of 260 days. They are sacred dates and energies of coexistence with spiritual commitment.
It is a day to receive and smudge the sacred wrapping of the ajq’iij, (time counter) and to reconfirm the sacred commitment before the sacred fire for those who have already received their mission.
TOOJ CEREMONIES SACRED OFFERINGS
Tooj is a day in the Maya calendar and is auspicious for thanking, offering, and giving. On this day, anyone offers what comes from their heart to the elements of Mother Earth, and following the legacy of Tata Pedro, the Jun Imox world’s walkers always perform ceremonies of gratitude.
PRESENTATION OF COUPLES BEFORE THE SACRED FIRE (MARRIAGE)
On this day the spiritual guides introduce to the sacred fire the beginning of a new life as a couple, after several preparation and offering processes carried out previously.
PRESENTATION OF CHILDREN BEFORE FIRE
From the Maya cosmovision, the birth of a child represents the arrival of a new mission to the world. Therefore the first step is to introduce the child before the sacred fire to invoke the energy of the Creator and former of life and the elders who will guide the child’s path from the presentation onward.
RECEPTION OF GROUPS
The members of the association receive groups with the purpose of connection or reconnection with their spiritual path, for physical and spiritual healing, as well as support and volunteer groups.
